Copper Slag Blasting Abrasive (Iron Silicate)
Produced from granulated iron silicate generated during metallurgical copper extraction. The molten slag is rapidly water-quenched, producing vitreous, diamond-hard, faceted angular black particles with a bulk density of 1.70–1.90 g/cc and Mohs hardness of 7.0. Because it contains less than 0.1% free crystalline silica, it completely eliminates the dangerous silicosis health hazards associated with ordinary river sand, while achieving up to 3x faster cutting speeds and generating an ideal anchor profile for high-build marine epoxy coatings.
